Terms of enrolment

Terms, cancellation and refunds

The agreement between you and the Academy, your statutory right to cancel, and what happens to fees already paid if you withdraw.

When the agreement begins

Submitting the application form is an enquiry. It is not an enrolment, and no payment is taken at that point. A contract between you and the Academy comes into existence when we confirm your place in writing and you pay the £50 registration fee.

Fees

The total cost of the year is £980: a £50 registration fee, £850 tuition, and an £80 graduation robes fee, which is separate from tuition and due before the ceremony. Tuition may be paid in full, or on the payment plan: £80 on 1 September 2026, then 11 monthly instalments of £70 from 1 October 2026 to 1 August 2027, at no additional cost. Payments are made by standing order, bank transfer, or another method the Academy approves. The registration fee is non-refundable under the Academy’s policy; your statutory cancellation right below is unaffected. The full schedule is on the Fees page.

Your right to cancel

Because you enrol at a distance, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 give you the right to cancel within fourteen days of the day the contract is made, without giving a reason. This right applies to the registration fee as well as to tuition.

If you ask us to begin providing the service during that fourteen-day period and then cancel, we may charge you a proportionate amount for what has actually been provided up to the point you told us. You do not lose the right to cancel simply because teaching has started.

To cancel, write to office@theacademyofinfluenceinternational.com. Any refund due is made within fourteen days of our receiving your cancellation, by the same method you used to pay.

A correction to earlier material

Previous Academy material described the registration fee as “non-refundable”. A blanket non-refundable term cannot override the statutory cancellation right on a distance contract, and this policy reflects the law rather than the older wording.

Withdrawing after the cancellation period

Once the fourteen days have passed, refunds follow the Academy’s Refund, Withdrawal and Cancellation Policy, which every student receives and confirms on enrolment. To withdraw, tell the Registrar, a faculty adviser or your instructor, in person and in writing; you will receive written confirmation. The £50 registration fee is not refundable.

Attendance and assessment

The programme requires attendance at live teaching on Thursday evenings, 7–9pm UK time, across the academic year, and the sitting of two examinations. Up to five authorised absences are allowed, and every missed class must be made up; a student who exceeds them is placed on academic probation and meets their instructor and an officer of the Academy. After a ten-minute grace period a student is counted late, and four lates count as one absence. Cameras stay on during class, under the Camera On Policy.

Late payment

All tuition must be paid in full before graduation. Under the Payment Plan Agreement, failure to keep up agreed payments may affect your ability to sit examinations, receive results, graduate or obtain certification until outstanding fees are settled. If you are struggling to pay, speak to the Academy early: the scholarship fund exists for exactly that.

Changes to the programme

The Academy may need to alter timetabling, teaching staff or the delivery platform. Where a change is material, we will tell affected students as soon as we can and set out their options.

Complaints

If something goes wrong, we would rather hear it. The formal complaints and appeals procedure is set out on our Academic Standards page. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Conduct, and the live class

Students are expected to treat faculty and one another with the courtesy the subject deserves, to attend ready to take part, and to keep the Academy’s policies, including the Camera On Policy. Conduct that disrupts teaching, or that would bring the Academy or a student’s own church into disrepute, may lead to a place being suspended or withdrawn, after the student has been heard by the Academy’s administration.

Teaching material and copyright

Notes, worksheets, recordings and examination papers remain the property of the Academy or of the person who wrote them. They are provided for your own study. You may print and keep them, and use what you have learned freely in your own ministry; you may not republish, sell or circulate the material itself, in whole or in part, without written permission. Where a student submits written work, the student keeps ownership of it, and the Academy may keep a copy for assessment, moderation and its own records.

Your account and the student portal

Your sign-in is personal to you. Do not share it, and tell the Academy at once if you think someone else has used it. Accounts exist to serve enrolled students and staff: attempting to reach another person’s record, to sit an examination as someone else, or to interfere with the site is a breach of these terms and may also be an offence. The Academy may suspend an account where it has reason to believe this has happened.

What we are and are not responsible for

The Academy will teach the programme with reasonable care and skill. It cannot promise that a class will never be interrupted by something outside its control — a platform outage, illness, or a failure of your own connection — and where that happens it will offer a recording, a replacement session, or another reasonable remedy. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. The Academy does not promise any particular employment, ministry appointment or further study outcome as a result of the award.

Using this website

The public pages are offered for information. The Academy keeps them accurate as far as it reasonably can, and corrects anything shown to be wrong. The site is built to be usable with a keyboard and with a screen reader; if any part of it is difficult for you to use, write to us and we will fix it and help you directly in the meantime. Links to other organisations are given for convenience and are not an endorsement of everything they publish.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
