Time you can actually give
Two hours live on Google Meet every Thursday, 7–9pm UK time, across the academic year, with cameras on — plus reading and preparation between sessions. This is the requirement students most often underestimate.

Applications for the coming cohort
We do not ask for previous theological qualifications. We ask for one ministry or pastoral reference, which the Academy takes up and confirms, and whether you are willing to give one evening a week for a year and to do the reading in between.
Entry requirements
The bar is deliberately practical rather than academic. Our students are adults with jobs and responsibilities, and the programme is designed to meet them there.
What you need to apply
A completed application, one ministry or pastoral reference, and the £50 registration fee on enrolment. Previous theological training is welcome but not required. Teaching is in English, live online, so you will need a reliable internet connection and a camera.

A device with a camera, a microphone and an internet connection stable enough for live video. You will be seen and heard in class; this is teaching, not broadcast.
Many applicants arrive already leading, already teaching, already certain. The year works for those prepared to have their reading of a passage corrected.
The process
Step one
Ten minutes. Tell us who you are, what you are currently doing, and why you want the year.
Step two
The Academy writes to the referee you named, and confirms the reference is genuine — usually with a phone call. A member of the Academy will also be in touch to answer your questions. Once this year's cohort is under way, applications join the waiting list for the next.
Step three
The £50 registration fee secures your seat. You will receive written confirmation of your place, the payment schedule you have chosen, and the terms of enrolment.
Step four
A session at the start of the year covering how it runs, what is expected, and how to get help.
Step five
Thursday evening, 7pm. The year begins.
Before you apply
Fees, dates, the award, what a Thursday evening actually looks like. It answers only from what the Academy publishes, and says so plainly when it doesn’t know.
Ask the Academy
Ask me about the programme, the fees, the schedule or the award. If I don't know, I'll say so and point you to the Academy.
An assistant, not the Academy. It answers only from what the Academy publishes and will say when it doesn’t know. For anything about your own place or payments, email office@theacademyofinfluenceinternational.com.
Application
The Academy’s registration form for the Associate Degree in Theology, to fill in here. The third cohort begins on Thursday 8 October 2026. Four sections — nothing is submitted until you reach the end, tick the declarations and sign.
Signing someone up in person?
